Attract Your Perfect Customers
(Strategically!)
I haven't finished reading it yet, but this book is wonderful.  It really
offers a fresh approach to marketing via The Law of Attraction (if you
haven't seen
The Secret yet,you need to catch up!). I truly recommend
you get yourself a copy of "Attracting Perfect Customers: The Power of
Strategic Synchronicity" by Stacey Hall and Jan Brogniez.
I plan on implementing many of the tools and processes with my own
clients. (So for those of you who fall into that category, be sure to ask me
about this!)
Attracting Perfect Customers
Gaining clarity about why your business exists -- it's mission -- is the first step to
building an effective Brand (yes, with a capital "B").
Until you have truly thought about your organization's purpose, you will flounder
every time you try to put together an effective marketing campaign or message.   
One of the best ways to get clarity about your Brand, is to sit down and review your
mission statement.  First, is it still relevant?  Or does it need to be updated?
     
Next, does it state what your business actually does?  Or is it more of a values
statement?  (For example, "We're about diversity.")    
Or perhaps it speaks only to the way you envision things being in the future. (Like,
"we're number one in our category.") That's a vision statement.     
Your mission statement simply states what you do, and who you serve and why.  
That's it.  No more.
Save the rest of the stuff for your values and vision statements.
Also, you need to be able to speak your mission statement from memory.  And so
does your entire team.  This is crucial folks. So the shorter it is, the better!
